Klimatec employee takes  part in WorldSkills UK

Oliver Davis, Apprentice Air Conditioning Engineer at Klimatec, qualified for the regional skills event after gaining second place in his college.

He was entered into the regionals and successfully landed fourth out of six place during that event. He now awaits news if he has made the national competition after qualifying.

Apprentice Engineer Oliver (second from left) recently took part in his regional WorldSkills UK Competition for RACHP Refrigeration and is now waiting to hear if he has made the nationals.

Commenting on his participation, Oliver said:

“I am so happy with what I have achieved. I’m not sure whether I'll get into the nationals or not as it depends how everyone else in the other colleges do. Either way, I am proud I got in and partook in the regional competition.”

WorldSkills is a global movement involving over 80 countries. WorldSkills supports young people across the world via competitions-based training, assessment and benchmarking, with members’ national teams ultimately testing their ability to achieve world-class standards in the biennial ‘skills Olympics’.

Oliver took part in the Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) competition and demonstrated exceptional skills to place fourth during the regional heats.
