Klimatec launches Five & Thrive

Internal mentoring group led by Senior Air Conditioning Engineer Matt Christofi launches 1 September 2026.

With over 23 years experience in the industry, Matt has worked his way up from apprentice t o senior engineer. Now, he is preparing to take point on a new internal initiative, Klimatec's Five & Thrive, a mentoring group designed exclusively for employees who have five or less years' experience within the industry, or those going through their apprenticeship with the company.

(Pictured) The future looks bright for Klimatec apprentices & for those employees with less experience than more senior colleagues with the launch of the new Klimatec Five & Thrive.

The aim of the new group is to help guide & support those who are younger and/or have less work-based experience across all aspects of the job, including difficulties they may encounter, challenges they may feel are unsurmountable, questions around their courses or training or concerns or complaints they may have regarding a particular job, project or individual. The group will have its own separate catch-ups every six months & a private WhatsApp group led by Matt. It will operate autonomously & provide a safe space for any & all work-related topics.

How do I join?

For those Klimatec employees that are currently working & studying apprenticeships & have five or less years experience in the industry, you will be auto-enrolled into the group & Matt will contact you personally, along with an invitation to join the WhatsApp group.

The new group kicks off starting 1 September 2026.

I have 23 years in the industry, from apprentice to senior engineer, working across a vast range of chillers & air conditioning systems.

After joining the Klimatec team in 2015 I have continued to expand my knowledge & abilities & feel it is time to share this knowledge to help shape the next generation of engineers.
